'Puja' is performed by PM Modi to start the opening ceremony of the new parliament building

Today marks the official opening of the new Parliament building. On Sunday morning, a havan was held as part of the ceremonial ritual, during which prayers from all religions were said.
Vedic rites for the customary 'pooja' started at 8:00 am and are expected to last for close to an hour. It was held next to the Gandhi statue in the Parliament beneath a tarp.
Later, a memorial service for Veer Savarkar would be held in the Central Hall of the recently constructed Parliament House. This will happen about 10:30 a.m.
In the GMC Balayogi auditorium of the Parliament Library, PM Modi will shortly start his “Mann Ki Baat.”
Among other significant items, the flooring of the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha of the new Parliament building will be adorned with handmade carpets woven by roughly 900 craftsmen from Uttar Pradesh.
In the past, Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed a “Ganapati Homam.” At the time of the new building's inauguration, there is a ceremonial worshipping of the gods to ask for blessings.
Priests of various adheenams, who came to prominence for presenting the Sengol to PM Modi to be put next to the Speaker's dais, also bestowed their blessings on him. On the right side of the Speaker's chair, the Sengol was enclosed.
Despite the construction of a new Parliament building, it has been determined that the old and new buildings will coexist to ensure that legislative procedures run smoothly and effectively. This indicates that a variety of projects will continue to utilise the ancient parliament building.
The Prime Minister received congratulations on this historic occasion from actors Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, and Akshay Kumar of the Indian film industry. “The traditional Tamil power symbol, the sceptre, will shine in India's new parliament building,” Rajnikanth said in a tweet. I want to express my gratitude to the honourable Bharat Pratham @narendramodi for making the people of India proud.
